A driver whose permit was granted after 1 July 2018 usually chooses the full 21-hour course. An earlier permit may qualify for the practical module if the previous-training requirement is also met.
The full programme contains 14 hours of theory and seven hours of practical teaching.
Eligibility requires checking both the original permit date and previous statutory training.
